Lately my eyes, and my brain, have been seeing too much in wide-angle mode, with the expected result of boring, cliche and repetitive photos. It’s time to change and force myself to narrow my perspective to see things differently.

Photocritic has a challenge for this week: Manual Exposure Week.
Shooting in Manual mode isn’t new to me, for years I used a camera where it was the only available mode, but lately, specially since moving to digital, I’ve become more lazy and started letting the camera to choose things for me. Nowadays I mostly use Aperture Priority mode and very rarely go fully manual, but I hope this little challenge will make me go back to the basics.

A new year has started and I started it with a personal challenge: take a photo a day, each and every day throughout of the year. For now the first month of the year has ended and so far I’ve kept it my plan, now I only have eleven months to go.

Rainy and foggy days aren’t good reasons for not going outside, with that in mind today I went for some photos around Gincho for my second proper photo shoot of the year.
And sometimes, despite “shooting” tons of photos, it’s the first one captures the essence of the day. This one is such a case.
